The Whitetip Weasel Shark (Paragaleus leucolomatus) is a species of weasel shark that inhabited in the Southeast coast of South Africa. In 2020, a fuzzy underwater footage of the Whitetip Weasel Shark was caught in the show Extinct or Alive: Land of the Lost Sharks.
Description[]
The Whitetip Weasel Shark has a single blacktip on the second dorsal fin while the other fins have whitetips similar to their shark cousins. It has a very mobile tail and rigid, long, slender body. The Whitetip Weasel Shark was 96 centimeters long.
Habitat[]
Like all weasel sharks they prefer shallow coastal waters.
