The Syrian Elephant is an extinct subspecies of the asiatic elephant that lived in the southwestern part of Asia.

Syrian Elephant were among the largest Asian Elephant subspecies to have survived into historic times, measuring 3.5 meters (11 feet and 6 inches) or more at the shoulder; on par with the largest reported Indian Elephants.
