The Rufous hawk-cuckoo or northern hawk-cuckoo (Hierococcyx hyperythrus), is a cuckoo in the Cuculidae family. It is formerly thought to be conspecific with Hodgson's hawk-cuckoo (Hierococcyx fugax) and placed in the genus Cuculus.
