The Rio Pescado stubfoot toad (Atelopus balios), is a species of toad in the Bufonidae family. It is endemic to Ecuador. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and rivers. It is threatened by habitat loss. It was previously thought to be extinct, but was recently rediscovered in a hunt for missing amphibians.
