The Red-crowned Toadlet (Pseudophryne australis) is a species of frog endemic to a small part of Australia. It is commonly dark brown with small black, red and white spots. On the top of its head is a patch of red / copper skin that gives it it's name. A similar patch of colour is at the the terminal end of the urostyle. It is confined to a small area within a 160km radius from the nearest capital city (Sydney, NSW). This area is made up of sandstone and small areas of water.
