The Pygmy eagle or New Guinea hawk-eagle (Hieraaetus (morphnoides) weiskei) is a species of bird of prey in the Accipitridae family. It is found in Papua New Guinea. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. It is often considered a subspecies of the little eagle, but some taxonomists separate it into a distinct species.
