They are aquatic places near beaches that house a large quantity of aquatic life and aquatic plants. They take up 72% of Earth's surface. They are deep. But at the very bottom, if you are in a high-pressure tolerant submarine, you will see tiny rivers and tiny volcanos. Oceans also have tiny mountains. Protected areas in an ocean are called "Hope Spots" as dubbed by Sylvia Earle. The only plant you will find in the ocean are seaweed, and lots of it.
