The Mugger Crocodile (Crocodylus Palustris) lives in India and Sri Lanka. It is also probably the most dangerous crocodile in this area.
Taxonomy and evolution
In 1831, René Lesson first described a specimen at the Gangetic plains and scientific named it Crocodylus palustris.
