The giant lion, Megatherium americanum, was a gignatic lion that lived in South America and the southwest during the ice age. It went extinct when cavemen hunted them and tar pits sank them.
Appearance[]
It looked like a bear with gigantic claws. But, it was actually a giant sloth. This ginormous Lion used its claws to strip branches off to eat lots of meat.
Behavior[]
It proably behaved like much larger animals. Its massive size can outrun Smilodon, and the aggressive Dire wolf.

It mostly ate plants but sometimes it ate meat.
