The Kroombit Tops Frog (Litoria kroombitensis) is a species of Australasian tree frog that is only found in a very confined 32km square (20 miles squared) patch of land in the state of Queensland, Australia.
Description[]
It is either a pale brown or green, or a combination of both. It does not have a pattern on it's stomach like some other frogs in it's area. It's call is described as a whine followed by a singular chirp. This species is still undergoing research and not much is known due to it's elusive nature.
Habitat[]
It inhabits shallow rivers or ponds in rainforests. Currently it hasn't ever been seen anywhere else past the rainforest it inhabits.
Behaviour[]
Breeding commences in September all the way until February. Eggs are scattered on the shallow streams and the tadpoles feed on the silt.
