The Kratt’s lichen mantis (Liturgusa krattorum) is a mantis species discovered by Dr. Gavin Svenson and the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, It was named after Martin and Chris Kratt, They live in the tall trees of the Amazon Rainforest, Peruvian rainforests and local rainforests of Southern Asia, it is one of the fastest mantises in the world but it is also an ambush predator so it stays really slow so other insects such as crickets and grasshoppers can’t see this insect and then snatched it up with those raptorial arms, and this praying mantis has great camouflage because its brown exoskeleton and brown stripes that help it blend with its surroundings so predators and its prey can’t see this sneaky mantis.
