The Jungle shrew (Suncus zeylanicus) is a species of shrew in the Soricidae family. It is endemic to Sri Lanka. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical dry forests. It is threatened by habitat loss. It is known as ශ්රී ලංකා කැලෑ හික් මීයා by Sinhalese people.

Head and body 10-12cm. Tail is 8-9cm. Very dark gray above, lighter in the underparts. Hairs appear dark at the base and lighter at the tip. Tail is short, gray, sometimes with a white tip.
