The Japanese Puffer (Takifugu rubripes), also known as the Tiger Puffer is a fish in the family Tetraodontidae found mainly in the south-east Asia.

Similar to other pufferfish, the Japanese Puffer contains poisonous organs that are deadly to humans. Only licensed persons can legally prepare and serve pufferfish.
