The Jaguar( Panthera onca) is a species of big cat of the Panthera genus. It is the largest cat in the Americas. It lives in N. South America, down to Peru and Argentina. Central America is also within its range. There is a small population in S. Arizonia. It grows to 7 1/2 in. including tail. It resembles the Leopard but with larger rosettes. It lives in rainforest, flooded forest, and swamps.
