This species of bizarre fish is epidemic to the reefs of Hawaii.
Appearance[]
The Hawaiian Freckled Frogfish is plump, and its fins have many closely-spaced brown spots. It can grow up to nearly 5 inches in length.
Behavior[]
It is cryptic and rarely encountered, as it hides in dark crevices and flees when approached.
