The Green Broadbill (Calyptomena viridis) is a species of calyptomena bird that is native to Borneo, Sumatra, and Malay Peninsula.

Description[]

The green broadbill can grow up 17 centimeters long. The males have brilliant green plumage with a black ear patch, widely gaped bill, rounded head, short tail, and three black bars on each wing. The females have duller plumage with no black markings on its ear patch and wing coverts.

Distribution and habitat[]

The green broadbill inhabited in the broadleaved evergreen forests of Borneo, Sumatra, and Malay Peninsula. It was thought to be extinct in Singapore in 1941, but it has been sighted in Pulau Ubin after 70 years.[1]
