The Fiery-breasted bushshrike (Malaconotus cruentus), is a large boreal bullshrike of lowland forests.
Appearance[]
As the name suggests, the Fiery-breasted bushshrike flaunts a bright red neck, chest, and belly, fading to yellow underneath the tail. The head is gray with a large patch of white on its forehead. The back, tail, and wings are yellow-green spotted at the tips of the secondary flight feathers and tail. It is considered large for a bushshrike, growing to 26 cm in length.

The Fiery-breasted Bushshrike is found through the African tropical rainforest, naturally occurring subtropical or tropical dry forest and subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest. Their distribution covers Cameroon, Central African Republic, Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ivory Coast, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, Liberia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Togo, and Uganda in a range that expands 5,090,000 square kilometers (3162779 square miles).
