The Cave Lion is an extinct lion species that lived in Europe during the Pleistocene. It was the most common large feline and cat in Eurasia during the Pleistocene and the Holocene.
Appearance[]
The cave lion resembled the extant african lion, but its fossils indicate the lion to have been larger than today's lions.
