The Bristle-nosed barbet (Gymnobucco peli), is a species of African barbet in the family Lybiidae. It used to be placed in the family Bucconidae, which has been split up; alternatively, it may be included in a vastly expanded Ramphastidae.

It is found in Angola, Cameroon, Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ivory Coast, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Ghana, Liberia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, and Togo.
