The Black honey buzzard (Henicopernis infuscatus), is a species of bird of prey in the Accipitridae family. It is endemic to New Britain, Papua New Guinea.

Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. It is threatened by habitat loss.


It is a big, forest raptor that is almost completely covered in black with exceptions of white bands on flight and tail feathers.
