Atelopus palmatus is a species of toad in the Bufonidae family. It is endemic to Ecuador and is only known from Pastaza River, Pastaza Province. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist montane forests and rivers. It is most threatened by chytridiomycosis which causes dramatic decline and affects other species of its genus and other threats include habitat loss through agriculture (both crops and livestock), logging, planned mining and wood plantations.
