The African dwarf kingfisher (Ispidina lecontei), is a species of river kingfisher in the Alcedinidae family. It is found in Angola, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ivory Coast, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, Liberia, Nigeria, Republic of the Congo, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda. This is the world's smallest kingfisher, at 9 grams (0.32 oz) and 10 centimetres (3.9 in).
